Hypertectum Universal Primer 1K
Low-viscosity polyurethane primer for dry and wet concrete.
Introduction
Hypertectum Universal Primer 1K is a one-component, low-viscosity, polyurethane-based primer suitable for many different substrates. Its very low viscosity and balanced curing speed give excellent wetting, impregnation and overcoating time on substrates of high, low or no porosity (e.g. glass and metals). It can be used on both dry and wet concrete, even green concrete, not only as a primer but also as a low-cost sealer that increases the durability of the substrate.

Preparation
Clean the surface with a high-pressure washer where possible. Remove oil, grease and wax. Remove cement laitance, loose particles, mould-release agents and old cured membranes.
Application
Apply with brush or roller. Once the primer has cured, apply the Hypertectum membrane.
Limits
Discolours when left exposed on its own. This is purely visual and does not affect the performance of the membrane.
On very porous concrete, the primer may penetrate so deeply that no surface film forms. In that case, apply an additional coat to obtain a dust-free primed surface. For extremely porous substrates, consider Universal Primer FC.
Cleaning
Wipe tools with paper, then clean with a suitable solvent. Rollers cannot be re-used.
Storage
At least 12 months in the original unopened containers, in a dry place at 5-25 °C. Once opened, use as soon as possible.
